Tom Reilly Scholarship

Tom passed away in April 2011, age 85. He had attended 30 consecutive Cyrsiau. His dedication to learning and kindness to his fellow students continues to inspire us all. We hope to carry on his legacy by encouraging younger students to follow in his footsteps through the creation of the Tom Reilly Memorial Scholarship.

The Tom Reilly Memorial Scholarship shall be awarded to a young person 25 years of age or under, at the end of the course week, for attendance at the following year’s Cwrs Cymraeg. It is a full scholarship for tuition, double room and board. The recipient must have attended at least one other Cwrs within the past 3 years, besides the current course. Recipients of scholarships in previous years are eligible for consideration. The Cymdeithas Madog Board will select the awardee who best exemplifies the mission of the scholarship, which is to encourage the lifelong enjoyment of Welsh language learning.
